Filling, Installing CO2 and Adjusting Pressure
1. Filling
- Fill uKeg GO at your local growler fill location.
2. Install Cartridge
- Ensure dial is in off position.
- Unthread sleeve and insert 8 gram CO2 cartridge with small end facing up.
3. Charge Cap
- Tighten sleeve quickly and firmly.
- Sleeve does not need to bottom out.
- A quick puff of gas is normal.
4. Install Cap
- The dial controls the pressure inside the uKeg GO.
- Turn to 1st position for Beer.
- Turn to 2nd position for Cocktails or Cider.
5. Pour
- Pull the tap forward to pour.
- Lock tap while transporting or while not in use by folding back.
- Do not open sleeve when cartridge contains pressure - turn dial on to empty remaining gas
- Do not use without CO2 cartridge.
- Pressurize immediately after filling, leave pressure on for duration of fill.
- Do not pour while uKeg is on its side.
- Do not fill with liquid or store uKeg above 120°F.
- Do not drop. Contents under pressure.
- Excessive suspended particles may lead to tap clogs or leaks.
After Each Use
- Turn off gas.
- Remove cap and rinse with warm water. (less than 120 degrees F).
- Rinse uKeg with warm water.
- Repeat 2-3 times until clean.
- Allow to try by pouring out remaining water.
- Store with cap off and tap open in dry place.
For a More Thorough Cleaning
- Fill with warm water under 120 degrees F and 1 cleaning tablet.
- Baking soda is a suitable substitute.
- Cap and shake well.
- Install cap, charge briefly with left-over nitro gas, flow water through tap and close tap.
- Let sit 10 minutes.
- Open tap until pressure runs out.
Cartridge Seal Replacement
- Squeeze tabs and pull retainer out.
- Inspect cartridge seal for cracks or defects. Replace if needed. Note orientation when removing.
- If cartridge seal needs replacing, insert new seal in orientation shown.
- Reinstall retainer and seal.
- Push retainer down until both tabs click outward.
Inspect Periodically
- Make sure retaining tabs are fully pushed out and seated properly.
- Cap O-ring should be tight and smooth.
- Make sure O-ring is installed as shown and free of damage.
